At which stage are you in the production?

The first version (V1) of the “Elephants” documentary was produced in September 2025.
We are now enhancing version 1 narratively and artistically to produce version 2.
We target to complete production by the end of 2026 and begin distribution by early 2027.

Where will the movie be distributed?

We will target festivals, sustainability events, universities, and local projections in various cities (Africa, MENA, Europe, America, Asia—places to be confirmed). We will also target public TVs and online streaming platforms.

What do you want to achieve with the funding?

We are now looking to enhance the documentary to meet professional standards: purchase music and image rights, hire technical freelancers, record the voice-over in a studio, potentially produce original music, translate and add subtitles, meet format requirements, etc.

How will the funding be used?

Depending on the amount raised from individual donors and sponsors, we will prioritize essential costs over optional ones to ensure the most impactful use of available resources. Our overall objective remains to complete the film using the means at our disposal.

The funding will be used for:

1. Post-Production: covering all post-production costs such as team fees, image licenses or capture, music licenses or composition, etc.
2. Distribution: trailer and pilot production, marketing and social media campaigns, festival applications, sales agents, etc.
3. Operating costs related to the Captain Forest activity.

So far, the documentary was funded with self-funding and crowdfunding.
