About Captain Forest

Reimagining the future

Amidst the current global environmental and socio-economic crisis, why not take the opportunity to shift to a different economic and societal model? Our approach combines zero-waste (reduce, refill - bring your own container system-, reuse, repair), do-it-yourself, and permaculture principles to build resilient local economies, recreate natural ecosystems, and give meaning to people. This can only be achieved at a large scale if individuals and working professionals comprehend the causes of the environmental and socio-economic crisis, accept change, and get to know existing sustainable solutions. Then, we could rethink and rebuild our world together for a brighter future.

Lamiaa Biaz Ecological Journey

Founder of Captain Forest

Lamiaa Biaz

Founder of the Captain Forest movement

"I became deeply concerned about the environmental crisis and developed a passion for nature. As a result, I decided to leave my corporate career and change my habits. Since 2019, I have been living a plastic and waste-free lifestyle and have been involved in European projects focused on waste management, water recycling, urban forestry, and soils health. This led me to create Captain Forest, a platform to raise awareness about environmental issues through art and thoughtful conversations with international experts. We aim to educate people about the plastic, waste, forestry, and agriculture-related ecological and socio-economic crises and the existing solutions."

Would you save 🧜‍♀️ The Little Mermaid from plastic?
